Footer question

I would like to have text at each end of the same line in a Footer. I
originally did this by inserting a single-row, two column table and
justifying the text in each cell Document name on the left, page number on
the right. This works fine. However when using section breaks and changing
the orientation from portrait to landscape, the footer appears not to
recognise the change. I'm sure there is an easy answer, I just don't know
it.

Thanks in advance

Mike

How about a "right-tab" at the end of the line, such as that used by the
default page numbering?
Got to be easier than a table.

Oops - twitchy "send" finger, there.

In what way? The footer won't adjust itself automatically to the new
section orientation; you have to do that yourself - after "unlinking" the
footer from that of the previous section, of course ;-)

I would have thought the footer would automatically adjust itself.
Anyway the method I have currently settled on is two create two footer
styles, the first for potrait and the second for landscape, using a
right-tab not a table, and unlinking.

Thanks anyway

Mike
