footer text is cut off when printing

I cannot seem to get my printer to print the entire footer. The
bottom half of the text is missing.

Is this a printer issue or a word issue?

depends...

most printers have an unprintable area near the edge of the paper, but
the half-inch that Word allows by default should mean your footer is
fine. What is the footer margin? (Format | Document)

I've recently run into Print Preview showing me a cut-off footer but it
printing out fine. Are Print Preview, Print to PDF, and real print all
showing the same thing for you? If not, which one has the problem?

What versions of Word, and OS? What printer, and have you tried
updating or reinstalling the printer driver for it?
