Footer

My footers start on the 2nd page so they are one page behind. Is there
something I can do to change this?

Do you mean that they are printing one page behind? If that is the case,
move your top and bottom margins out to accomodate the footer or make your
detail portion of the report smaller.

Not really. I have two fields in the footer, one one the right and one on
the left. The one on the left is printing fine. The one on the right is a
counter type of thing. So, it is showing "1" on the second page. Any ideas?

My guess is still that your margin values are too large or your report is too
wide.

The report width plus the width of the left and right margins is most
likely too big for the paper used.
Using an 8-1/2 inch wide paper with 1 inch left and right margins, the
widest the report can be is 6-1/2 inches
Make the report width smaller or make the margins smaller.

By the way, a report can have 3 or more footers (Page Footer, Report
Footer, Group Footer(s)). It would have been helpful if you had told
us which footer.

If I make the footer something else (for instance the date) and leave the
field in the same place then it works fine. I would like it to say the title
and when I make that change it gets messed up. So, I don't think it has to
do with the margins. Any other ideas?
