footers in excel

Can anyone tell me how to create a footer in excel that
enables you to locate the file path of the current file
(like you can do in Word). It seems that the footers in
excel are limited to only what you have available in the
footers box. I currently place the file path on my
spreadsheet at the very bottom of the page using a
hyperlink that points to the current file with the link
removed so that it appears as text. But is there another
way ??

Thanks

The formula you supplied is incorrect, it should be
=CELL("filename",A1)
do not leave out the A1 or you may be pointing to a different
worksheet or even a different workbook. See my
page http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/pathname.htm

Also the worksheet formula is for the spreadsheet not for the
header or footer lines. Beside the macro already supplied by
Dave, additional choices can be found there depending on
how you want to implement the macro and what you want in it.
