Footnote and vertical alignment

Hello,

In Word 2k3 SP2, If there's a footnote at the bottom of the page, the
vertical alignment isn't applied, the text is stuck at the top. What can I do
? Thanks for your answers.

Question doesn't make sense.....

Vertical alignment is always applied.....in File | Page Layout | Layout,
is Vertical Alignment set to Top, Center, or Justified? Top is what you
normally want.

Are you sure this is a footnote? *which* text is stuck at the top?

Sorry for this bad explanation.

The vertical alignment is set to center (what I want) but if I add a
footnote on the page, the text of the page moves to the top (and the
alignment is still set to center) (The text of the footnote is at the bottom
of the page, which is normal, I agree).

Sorry for my english, Thanks for your answers and your time.

Set the "Place at" option for the footnotes to "Beneath text" (as
opposed to "Bottom of page").

No, it's not an issue; it's just that it does what you were asking for.
:)

When footnotes are at "Bottom of page," by definition the text is
vertically centered on the page if the first body text paragraph starts
at the top of the page. By choosing "Beneath text," you change the
position of footnotes relative to text—and that gives you a more
"traditional" centered look.
