Hi all,
I have a document template which is protected for forms, but in order to let
users apply headers and footers and footnotes I've added a macro to allow
them to switch on/off the document protection.
This works fine for the headers & footers, but for some reason the footnote
option in the dropdown menus is greyed out. With "CTRL-ALT-f" I can still
add a footnote though. But when I do this I get a line at the bottom of the
document underneath which I can type the footnote (so far so good) and in
front of that line some random characters seem to apear (on my machine it's
always 2/2/2/2//2/2, other users get different strings though).
The superscripted numbers of the footnote do appear normal in the main
document and at the bottom and the footnote can be added normally. The
trashy chars are also visible on the print preview
Does anyone have an idea what's going wrong here?
Can I get the footnotes option in the menus available again? Can I get rid
of the messy characters?
Any help would be appreciated very much!
Kind regards,
rVo
