Footnotes and Endnotes copied to a doc how work in new doc?

I copied both footnotes and endnotes into a word document. I checked the
settings that the office assistant suggested and it is fine. The numbers
appear in the document and if I move the mouse over it the note appears. How
do I now paste the note to appear in the doc as well?

Did you make sure to copy and paste the footnote and endnote references in
the main body of the text? If so, the note text will be included.
