footnotes behind table

I am having a problem with footnotes in a table. There are quite a few
lengthy notes in the table. Instead of being at the bottom of th
page, the footnotes keep hiding behind the table. When printed th
footnotes and the table print on the same page, creating a horrifi
state of confusion. If I move the table, the footnotes disappea
entirely.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated.

With Office 2002, I try to simulate and find that I can decide whether the
footnote goes "below text" or "Bottom of page". On other versions, a
sinmilar means should be available to select wher it gos to.

Is the table wrapped? Go to Table | Properties and make sure that wrapping
is set to None.
