Footnotes in one line

Rass

I’ll appreciate if you help me to change the default footnote numberin
from single column (vertical) to row formatting(horizontal); I mean, t
appear consecutively in one line. Many thanks in advance

Although it is possible to do this (manually), it doesn't do any good
because Word still allows just as much space for the footnotes as if they
had been lined up vertically.
