Hoping somebody can help. Was sent a document where the footnotes aren't linked to the text. (e.g. double click the footnote and doesn't take to corresponding place in text, place cursor on fn # in text and no text box shows up) Most importantly, when I try to insert a fn or delete a fn, the other fns in the doc. don't change numbering to correspond. (e.g. insert fn after fn7 and it is labeled #1 and fn #s after still 8, 9, etc. Delete fn 7 and numbers stay same just skipping 7; 5,6,8,9) I suspect that the original document may have been word perfect, converted to word, and sent to me. Any advice is hugely appreciated. Cheers.
