For Greg Mansius - OSB Followup

Hi, Greg,

Appreciate your response. I guess I don't know what you
mean by "Add/Remove Features in maintenance mode setup
for Office"?

Office is already installed, and I either don't have or
can't find the OSB. So, are you suggesting that I
reinstall all of Office in order to access the "Office
Tools" you refer to below?

I realize your time is limited, but would much appreciate
a more detailed response.

Thanks again,
- marty

Does the OSB show up as "not available" under "Office Tools" when you choose
Add/Remove Features in maintenance mode setup for Office? If so, please
change it to "run from my computer".

Thanks,

Hi,
Does Office XP Pro have an office shortcut bar (OSB)? I
can't seem to find it anywhere (and one didn't
automatically install, at least not that I can see). If
so, what's the file name and/or where can I find
it/install it?
Thanks,
- marty

Marty,

Here are the steps to get you into Maintenance mode.

1. Open Control Panel and double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2. If you are running Windows 2000 or higher, select the Office XP item in
the list of products and click Change. If you are running Windows 98
double-click the Office XP item.
3. Select Add or Remove Features.
4. Click the + next to Office Tools.
5. Change the icon for "Office Shortcut Bar" to "Run from My Computer".

Hope this helps.
