hi,

Usually when i open word 07 i can write with the menu above on show, but now
for some reason when i type the menu dissappears until i have to scroll and
click back on a tab to bring it back out again. Can anyone suggest a way to
sort this out. Or of anyone knows, can you tell me how to restore the default
settings of word 2007?

Thanks

If you mean the Ribbon (?), double-click on a Ribbon tab to make the Ribbon
stay up all the time: double-click again to auto-hide. It is a sort of full
screen view toggle requested by a user-group that complained that the ribbon
takes up too much space (probably the same user-group that said they never
customise their menus)!

Hi Nicky,

It sounds as if the Word 2007 may be on minimize. Use Ctrl+F1 to bring it back or double click on one of the tabs to toggle Ribbon
display/minimize modes.

For resetting to original options it depends on what you're trying to clear. If you are looking to remove the choices on the Word
Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) you may have added you can close Word, locate and rename the Word.QAT or remove the items through
Office Files Button=>Tools=>Customize (Alt, F, I, C)
