Force a text box to become active from a selected option box

Hello,

New to InfoPath.

I want to force a textbox to become active (curser flashing waiting for text
to be typed) after an option button has been selected. The user cannot submit
or move forward until the text box has been completed......

I have to option buttons - yes and no. When yes is selected the text box
becomes active.

Right now I have an expression box with instructions but it's ignored...

I know I can indicate that the box cannot be empty but I'd like to force the
user into the text box.

Thanks

Any ideas would be welcome.

Hi,

For cursor flashing I don't know why but:

You can hide your form do while this textbox is empty

Thanks for responding Virgul but I'm not sure what you mean.

Basically I have to option controls - yes and no. When the user selects yes
I want the curser to jump to a text box and the user has to input some text.
It the user selects no, then he moves on to the next box??

Thanks

Hi Greg,

I have found the OnAfterChange event in the options box but I don't know any
coding so this is way beyond me. All I want to do is force a user to complete
a text box after selecting a 'yes' option -- is it possible to do this
without coding? When they select 'no' they can move on.

Thanks
