Force access to open PDF link in firefox

I have forced Access to open links in URL fields in Firefox. It works well
except when the links direct to a pdf. file in the web. In this case, Access
pops up a warn that it could be dangerous, and when I let it to follow,
Access open the PDF in Internet Explorer, and not in Firefox.

Any suggestion?

Dear Tom, many thanks for your help.

I have added the key to the registry and the situation persists.

Reading the article it says refering to the message I obtain, that "This
additional warning message comes from HLINK.dll ...". Unfortunately, the
article does not explain how to disable it.

Not withstanding, my main problem is not so much the warning popup, as the
pdf opening by default in IE and not in Firefox.

Could you think of any solution? (Im using a brand new installation of Vista
Bussiness SP1, Office 2007 SP1 and Firefox 3.05)

Since you are using Office 2007, you might want to see if there is a similar
branches in the registry under 12.0, instead of 11.0, ie.:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common

Could you think of any solution?

No, sorry. I'm guessing it has something to do with the way in which
Microsoft has integrated IE into the operating system, which has been the
subject of former Dept. of Justice actions against Microsoft.

Thanks Tom,

As a matter of fact, I added the registry key under Office 12.0.

As to the IE integration in the operating system, I am afraid your guess
could be right.
