Force report up one line <CR><Neg LF>

Does anyone know how to force a report to go up a line? I
don't want it to retreat or moveprevious, I just want it
to move up a line on the report with a carriage return.

No such thing as a reverse new line, but the previous line
can indicate that it should not move the current position
down by using Me.MoveLayout = False in the (detail?)
section's Format event procedure.

Marsh, I want to thank you for the solution. Using that
with a combination of the cancelevent solved my problem. I
now have completely dynamic column headers with a very
flexible format for my customer. Check out Duane's and my
thread started on Dec 12 @ 3:38. Again thanks.
