force users to logoff

I am using access 2000 and I frequently run into problems where remote users
leave the database in an unrecognized state. Is there a way to force the
remaining users in the database to logoff? I'll often run into problems
where people are away from their desk and have to wait for them to come back
before I can start the repair.

you may want to look into using a real multi-user database system like sql
server. while access lets you share a database you have to be very careful
to stay out of the type of problem you are seeing. if you really can't
change from access then you have to look at managing transactions so that
users actions are completed in a single step and don't leave the database in
unknown states.
