{Using Word 2002 under WinXP. All updates, patches, etc in place.}
Frequently I have to use Word to open text files that I've downloaded from
Usenet binary groups. These are information files about the binary files
that they accompany and they typically contain Unicode characters that are
used for "decoration". When Word opens these files it goes through a step
where I'm asked to select the "encoding" for converting the file. How do I
force Word to *always* use "Windows (Default)" so that I'm not asked to go
through this step when opening such files?
