Forcing a document to open in Reading Layout View

Rob

I have a Word document that I want to default to Reading Layout View
when opened and I cannot figure out how to do that.

I checked in Help, and could only find how to prevent the Reading
Layout View from opening at all.

If there is something within the options I can change, or a startup
switch to force this layout, that would be great.

Hi Rob - When you click on Tools, Options, General tab and put a tick
in the "Allow Starting in Reading Layout" box, this will only open word
attachments from email in Read Layout view. As far as I know there is
not an option which allows all documents to start in this view. With
the other views, Normal, Print Layout, these are saved with the
document and open in that view everytime you open the doc. However,
read layout does not save with the document as a view and the only way
I know of changing to read layout is to click on the Read button on the
toolbar or pressing Alt R from any other view in Word.
