Foreign Language Support -- Fonts

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I am trying to type in Tibetan in Word 2008. I can successfully type in Tibetan in other programs including other Mac Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, inc.), but Word cannot read the unicode for some reason. When I tried to copy the Tibetan fonts (Kailasa and Kokonor) to /library/fonts/microsoft, it says that they are already in the folder. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Word does not yet support Tibetan. Use another app, like OpenOffice, Pages, TextEdit, Nisus Writer. Same thing for Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Tamil.

PS It may now be possible to do Tibetan in Word using certain fonts. See this page:
