Forgotten Passwords in One Note 2007

I have been using One Note 2007 for a while now. I went to open up one of my
work books and it is password protected. When I clicked on the top tab it ask
me to enter my password and when I did it would not open. I need to know is
there a way to bypass this and get into my work without having to do a
complete install of the software?

Even a complete re-install of ON would nit remove the password
protection which is stored in the notebook files.
BTW: The password protection works for *sections* only, it for complete
notebooks.

There are some third party tools which do password recovery for OneNote but
obviously you would need to proceed with caution.
