Form Autofit facility in Form wizard!!

When creating a form through the wizard, the fields choosen do not
automatically resize to the maximum character size and hence need to go into
design view and click/drag to expand the size of the display box.

Yes. That is the way it is.

Typically fields are resized on a form to make them visually pleasing
etc. NOT to reflect the number of characters. This is especially true
because most fonts used on the forms are not fixed size, consequently
if what is entered has a lot of spaces or narrow letters it will not
look the same as another field that is the same size but has a lot of
wide letters.
