Form button position over selectors ?

Form element positioning question. I have a form that looks like a
datasheet (but uses continuous forms as the type). I want to position
a small button to perform record deletes above the column that
contains the record selector arrow. However, if I position it all the
way over on the left in form design view it still comes out just to
the right of the record selectors when I return to form view.

Is there any way to specify a "negative" position on the form and make
it move to the left just a bit more ?
