The behavior/performance you are describing is not typical/normal.
There's a chance your underlying database/application/file has some subtle
corruption. There's also a chance that the version of Access you are using
hasn't had recent/all service packs/updates applied.
If this were mine, I'd first back it up (again, and often!). Then I'd make
sure the PC & all applications were fully patched/updated.
Then I'd create a new (empty) Access database file and import the objects
from the questionable file, re-compile, re-Compact & Repair, and re-test.
Good luck!

That should be enough RAM, but RAM's cheap these days. Any chance you
could
either try this on a PC with more RAM, or add another 512 MBytes?
Have you backed up your .mdb file recently? If no, do so now!
Have you tried running compact & repair recently? If no, backup first,
then
try.
How many other applications are you trying to run simultaneously?
More (more) info, please...<g>

I'm using MS Access 2003
I have 504 MB RAM
Not sure how old the PC is
I'm loading one record on the main form though there could be multiple
Loading 3 records on the 2nd and 4th form and one record on the other
5 forms
I also experienced the same problem on a small form with 4 tabs each
tab displaying one record.
I have noticed that if I copy a module and then exist the system I get
a message asking whether or not I want to delete the clipboard. I
respond yes. After each copy I now exit the system, delete the
clipboard and re-enter the system but I still get the error
periodically.
I hope this is enough information.- Hide quoted text -

The file is backed up and I have run the repair often thinking that
this might help.
Sometimes I'll have Outlook and Explorer open but it seems to happen
even after I close these applications.
There is anmachine with 1 GB of RAM in the office ... I'll see if I
can swap machines.
Will this have any affect on the execution of the application?
I've only 1/5 of the total functionality complete for the database.
Do I need to somehow have several front ends that can link to other
front ends? Is this even possible?
Is there for me to monitor how much RAM I am using?
Is there a way to empty the clipboard periodically while working?
I've run across an insufficient memory error when trying to close the
application as well - this corrupts my main form and I have to rebuild
the tabs from a back up version of the main form.
