After you've created a form in the wizard, how do you
either remove the autoformat or choose your own background
color to override what the current form has?

You go in design view, then click on the Detail bar in the
editor window or Form Header bar, then click on the
property button. In the format TAB there is a property
called Back Color, select that and hit the "..." button on
the right, after that you can select the color in the
menus or define a new custom color.

What if I want a graphic (like a picture or a structured
drawing) to be implemented as a background? Can I also
create my own format?
