Form Confirmation Pages

I wonder if anyone can please point me in the right direction here
please....

The problem centers around Confirmation Pages on 2 different sites. 1 works
fine, the other does not!

This site works fine: http://www.northcoastcomputerservices.com/jko.htm goes
to a 404 error page requesting info. about where you came from. If you fill
in the "Search Engine" and "Keyword" fields and then "Submit" the
Confirmation Page comes up with the correct info. filled in - No Problem!

However, typing any old garbage email address into this test page
http://www.cannonbeachlive.com/test.htm finally brings up the Confirmation
Page (only after I spent 3 hours finding the ../../ solution for the Page
Path) but the confirmation page does NOT display the garbage email address
correctly - it just dispalys the field name - not the email address itself.

The NorthCoast site has a different version - FPVersion="5.0.2.4803" - of
the FPSE than the CBLive site - FPVersion="5.0.2.2634" - but I'm not sure if
that is the issue or not.

And what's with that ../../ suddenly required for the path name????

Both Sites are built with EW and the FP code has been "snippled and pasted"
from FP2003...no big deal!

Can anyone help please? I appreciate your time. Thank You.

Keith,
Usually the ../../ means there is a problem with the directory mapping from
my experience. I've often found this sort of issue when someone has a web
site, then they point a domain to a folder within the web site. So the main
account is www.mysite.com. A directory or two under that, there's another
site. like www.mysite.com/sites/cannobeachlive/. Then the domain
cannonbeachlive.com would be pointed to the
www.mysite.com/sites/cannobeachlive/ directory. This screws everything up
because the Frontpage Server Extensions are all based off the mysite.com as
it's the main site and not the cannonbeachlive.com site, since it is
pointing to a subdirectory. Can you check and make sure that this scenerio
isn't being played out here. That would help us eliminate one of the most
common causes.

Mark, thanks for the head's up on that one...

I just moved the entire cannonbeachlive.co site into a root folder friday
p.m.

It was previously in a sub-folder under another site but it is now in a root
folder with dns working ok and all that stuff.

Maybe I should call up my host and *shudder* and tak with them about it?
Maybe there's some coding traces somewhere from the prior location that are
lurking about.??

Anyways, because of email issues I had with cannonbeachlive.com being in a
previous subfolder I deleted and relocated the site to a new top-level
folder.

Hope that helps and thanks for asking.
