form connections

If you use 2 or 3 subforms on separate pages of a tabbed
control, does Access maintain a separate connection for
each open subform? Would using such a design increase
network traffic? Also, how do you check to see if a
subform is open?

If the subforms are linked to tables outside the database
you bet they increase NT traffic when they are open. I
found that they keep hanging connections that greatly
increases the likely hood of dB corruption. One way to
minimize this is to not set the sourceobject of the
unbound object until it is needed (via user clicks).

What do you mean by sourceobjects?
