form crashes Access on one machine, but not others

It seems that when I create a form on my primary PC, one other can not open
the form - Access crashes and closes with no other information. I have
another PC that opens the forms just fine. I'm trying this with only one
compute having the database open to keep everything as simple as possible for
the moment. All machines are Vista and Access 2003 and are all fully
updated. I have no idea what it might be and would appreciate any input or
suggestions.

Thanks,
Dave

Start be trying Allen Browne's tips for form problems at www.allenbrowne.com
Then I would reload the form that works to the pc that doesn't. Then I would
compact and repair. Then I would check patches. There is one hot fix for 2003
that is critical if you are using combo boxes.

Allan's site is rather large! Check the misbehaving PC and see if it has the
SP3 service pack installed. If so, this link

http://allenbrowne.com/bug-Access2003SP3.html

to one of Allen's pages lists bugs introduced by SP3 for v2003. Check bug # 2,
which deals with Access crashing, and see if this applies to you.

Forgot to add, at the bottom of Allen's page he gives a link for hotfixes for
some of these bugs.

Thank you one and all. Ling Adams' link to the Allen Browne page did the
trick. Why is it that the hot fix issued in December 2007 is not included in
the latest updates? Ah, Microsoft. Truly a love hate relationship.

Anyway, I seem to be back in business and I'm eternally grateful to everyone.

So how about putting pictures on the web into forms? Can it be done?

You would think, after finding out they screwed up, that in addition to
issuing a hotfix for people who had already installed the service pack, they
would modify the service pack so that people who subsequently installed it
wouldn't have to use the hotfix, wouldn't you! Some of their wonderful
"updates" end up having bunches of hotfixes!

Glad you got it sorted out!
