Form Creation and use

F

Farrel Buchinsky

Visio can enable one to design forms (XP at least). But what if one
wants to populate the form with data from a database (using it as if
it were a report) or if one wants to use the form as a data collection
tool to write to a database (as if it were a Microsoft Access form).

In other words I want to do more than just create a form to dumbly
print out and dumbly complete with a pen.

Visio has a Database Wizard that will do some basic mapping of database
table contents to shapes. There is also a very rich programming platform if
you want to write code to create a solution. Look in
http://msdn.microsoft.com/visio for more information.
