Form delete error.

I have set up a form using three db's linked as two sub forms. The are opened
from a single pc by a single user. When attemping to delete the master and
the associated linked records, i get a message that one of the linked records
"is already opened exclusively by another user, or is already open throught
the user interface and cannot be manipulated programmatically". The
relationships allow for cascade deletes. Don't think I have a user interface
(as I don't even know what one is!) Using Access 2000. Any ideas?

If your links are to data sources other than Access database tables this is
normal. You typically can't delete records from linked table from
applications other than Access.

Seth:
They are access database tables linked thru the form wizard. I run the
parent form and it links the two other table forms. All Access files.

Lou C:

Ok, I think from re-reading your post and by reading your new post you don't
have linked tables, but rather your are using the word 'linked' in referring
to the properties of the subform control.

You mentioned you have two subforms, are they by chance showing some of the
same data? Or maybe they both have the same tables in their underlying
queries (if you are using queries)? In both cases I am referring to the
tables on the many side of the relationships.
