Form Detecting Duplicates

I have a text field in my table called FreeEntry. We input
data into this field by a form called Customers. If any of
the users type in a match when entering a new record only
of the FreeEntry field can I display a message to let them
know and show them the information in these other records
by a form? We asked earlier so I apologize for posting
this question again if there is no solution or if I am
going about it wrong. We are new to access and greatly
appreciate any help. The purpose is to allow these
duplicate entries but also provide us with information
already entered so we do not have to research some parts
of it again.
