My office has been using an Access database for a couple of years now
to track records. The database resides on a server and about 12 or so
people can access it. Some of us recently upgraded to MS Office 2007,
some are still using MS Office 2003.
Just yesterday, one of our users noticed that he could not view
records in a form when he used the combo list drop down to select a
primary record for which he wanted to view details and enter data. He
is using Office 2003. The rest of us who are using Office 2007 can use
the database with no trouble at all. The user who is having the
problem opened up a back up database from a few months ago and was
able to use the combo list to view records without any trouble, so I
am perplexed as to what the issue is. At first I thought might be
something on his machine since the rest of us could use the database
correctly, but now I am not sure.
To my recollection there has not been any changes to the database in
question.
Any ideas? I am thinking about recommending that the troubled user
upgrade to MS Office 2007 to see if that might fix it.
Thanks!
