Form field formula returns error

I have a document I'm trying to create that has a number
of form text fields. Five of the fields are currency
numeric format ($000.00). The sixth field is also currency
numeric format and is to sum the amounts in the other
five. Using the Insert Form Field command =Formula(), I
entered this formula:
=TD1+TD2+TD3+TD4+TD5
Each if the five other form fields have been bookmarked as
TD1, TD2, etc. Each time I try to set up the calculated
field, I get this error message:
!TD1 Is Not In Table
This message increments for each TD bookmark as I delete
the other bookmarked fields (I whack TD1 and the message
says !TD2 Is Not In Table, and so on). I even copied the
form fields from another document that does work, changing
the bookmarks. No go.
So, what else can I do?

I figured out the answer. Word isn't smart enough to
accepts bookmarks that are only 3 characters. When I
changed the bookmarks from TD1, TD2, etc., to Tax1, Tax2,
etc., the calculation works.

Hi Kevin,

Word interprets alpha-numeric bookmarks with 1-2 letters and 1-n numbers as
column/row table references.

Cheers
