Form Field Question

I have created a document in Word 2002, I am using form fields. Th
document contains seven drop-down fields. When I lock the document an
try out the drop-down fields, the drop-down options are listed bu
after I pick one the entire field disappears from the page, includin
the option I chose. Can anyone explain why?

I'm not surprised that you haven't received an answer. What you are
describing is anomalous behavior. Is this true for all of your fields? If
the document is protected (locked) the drop down fields will operate to
display choices, and the chosen item will appear. If it is not protected, it
is easy to delete the fields, but the choices won't appear.
