form fields in word 2002

I have an invoice document that I use, but I had to reload my OS and I can't
remember how to enable the form fields in it. I think it has something to do
with macros, but I've tried everything I could think of and still can't get
it working. Any suggestions?

Try Tools-Macro-Security.
You may need to have it set to LOW or MEDIUM.
THEN open the file.
If asked, ENABLE macros..

If they're actually form *fields,* then you need to use Tools | Protect
Document.
