Form filter SELECT DISTINCT

Is it possible to filter a form by distinct values in a
text field? I tried making a query and failed badly. Text
field has tool names and I am trying to retrieve one record
for each tool. Thanks

If you are setting the unique records values via the properties window of
the query keep in mind that there are two options:
1. Unique Values - This will display unique records based on the combination
of the fields you have included in your query grid.

2. Unique Records - This will display unique records based on all the fields
of your datasource regardless if you add them to you query grid.
