Form locks record

A form I have written has suddenly started locking the
main record. The locking is turned off in the properties
of the form and the fields. The subforms work fine. The
table is not locked. The fields are enabled. What has
happened?

If the forms record source is a query, us the ... build button to see if it
is updatable outside of the form. If it is, then check the allow edits
property and make sure it is set to yes.
