Form "objects" appear inside a table structure

When I create a Form with the "create form" button on the ribbon, all the
fields and all their names are laid out on the form inside a table structure.

When I try to alter the width of any one field all the fields in the column
are altered.

How do I remove this table structure so I can re-position the fields and
their names on the form and alter the widths of each field individually.

You don't say, but I'm guessing you're using Access 2007.

Select the controls in question (objects on forms/reports are
called controls, fields are in tables), select the Arrange tab on the
ribbon, then click on Remove (fourth button from the left I think,
don't have A2007 where I am right now).

Thanks. Yes access 2007. It works. I actually tried this button before I
posted but couldn't have had the table highlighted and so of course didn't
get the expected result. Tried it again and problem solved.

Thanks
