Form question

I use Access 07 - in the templates that they give you there is a form in the
students db that contains "tabs" (maybe "pages" is a better word) at the top
of the form. If I am creating a db from scratch and not using one of those
templates, how can I create a form that contains multiple "tabs"?

Not sure if this should be in New User or Forms Discussion group but since I
am a new user I thought the lingo may be a little easier in this group.

Melinda:

In form design view you can add a tab control to a form from the toolbox
just like any other control. You can then customize it be adding extra pages
as necessary. For controls such as text boxes etc which you want to appear
on one page of the tab control you first select that page of the tab control
in design view then add the control to it. For controls you want to show all
the time outside the tab control just add them to the form in an area outside
the tab control in the usual way.

your form.

Thanks for the help. When I click the tab control then click the form it
just drops two pages in my form (where ever I click) but then it is as if
those two pages are not actually part of the form. Am I doing something
incorrectly?

The form does not contain tabs, the form contains a control that contains

The pages are part of the tab control which is contained on the form. You can
add or delete pages and set up each separately.
