form spacing changes when published

I'm buildimg some forms on the site that clients and volunteers will fill out
and print, but when I publish it, the spacing changes. It's mostly that the
length of the fill-in fields changes. Since the box doesn't show up, I'm
underling them so you can print it and then fill it out. Since I don't know
how long or where on the line its going to be, I'm doing trial and error to
get everything to look right. I'm using 2007 now but it happened in 2003
also. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you talking about your .pdf form at
www.shhrc.org/shhrc-rider-application.pdf ? If so;

Leave the form as it is.
Edit it in Acrobat (not the reader) or any PDF creator capable of creating
FILLABLE FORMS. Create form fields where your underlines are and re-save (or
Save As) when you're done.

That's the old site we're replacing - we cannot make changes to it ourselves.
I've only ever published this one to my desktop, so I can't show you. In
this one I opened a new page, went to insert from the design gallery and
chose "reply form". I just used that basic structure and added or
copied/pasted the rest of what I needed

Denise,

If you are talking about a form that customers can print off your website
and then complete and send to you,
I have one on my website,
http://www.devonviewcaravans.co.uk/index_files/Booking.htm
I produced it in word and then did a copy and paste into my pub doc.
It took a little tweaking to make sure it would print off on one A4 sheet
but I have never had anyone who has failed to print it off successfully.

I use 2003, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work in 2007, but someone
else may know different.!

You could try double clicking the text boxes and in the properties setting
the maximum number of characters, which should dictate the length of the
text box.
