I have a InfoPath form that contains a person details along with a field for
that contains the investigator name.
There is basic workflow built into the InfoPath form, where based on the
value in the status field, I have set some data validation rules. When the
user submits the form to a SharePoint form library, I am changing the value
in the status field. This is causing the data validation rules to fire and
stop the user from submitting the form.
My question is: Is there a way in InfoPath that I can enable/disable the
data validation for InfoPath form/part of the InfoPath form or disable data
validation on a individual control only when I am submitting the form? Or is
there another way to achieve what I am doing?
Thanks.
