Form Template question

I am new to InfoPath and I have some doubts. I created a simple form
template(.xsn) and save it on a specific folder. After that I filled
the form template a couple of times to create forms (.xml) after that
I deleted the .xsn and tried to open one of the .xml files. To my
surprise the form open just fine. I was expecting to receive an error
like "the form template associated with this form cannot be found".
How is the document opening without the form template?

Also I would like to know if I take the form template and the form and
copy it to another machine how can I "install" the template without
using the publish template feature?

Did you also clear the form template from the cache? See
