Form Text Field Won't Change Font Size-Word 2007

D

DP

I've created a form in Word 2007 and use text form fields through the
document. I've changed the font size on the fields (example, to 8 pt), but
when I protect the document for forms and try to complete a new "form", the
font is 10 pt.

How can I make the font/font size in text form fields stay as I format them?

Thanks.

the "fish" answer is to force the format in the field code (look up
CHARFORMAT in offline help).

The "fishing" answer is to stop using any direct formatting and do all
formatting through styles.

I have a similar problem, I think. I have a document with a number of simple
fields, and users press F11 to move from one field to the next and fill in
the relevant info. I have formatted the entire field to be a specific style,
but when a user selects the field via the F11 key, the style is ignored - it
simply types over the field using the Normal style. This document was
originally create in Word 2003 (now using 2007). Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
