Form with variable subform

OK, I just need a nudge in the right direction. I have a vendor table with a
number of related tables. I've set them up and set up the relationships
(using Access2007 beta 2, ultimately will retro to Access 97)...

Now, I want the user to update the whole vendor-related world from a single
main form...

Vendor
...Addresses (multiple addresses per vendor)
...Skills List (zero or more skills per vendor, selected from a
reference table)
...Insurance Certs (zero or more insurance certs per vendor)

I'm willing to have a separate form for initial vendor add...if needed.
Referential Integrity is set.

Just get me started. How do I set it up? A combo box linked to the vendor
table to select the vendor, then subforms loaded depending on what I'm
updating? How do I link the subforms into the cb? Do I need a separate form
for initial vendor add?

A few words to get me started should do the trick...Thanx

I think you're on the right track. Your main form will be bound to the Vendor
table. This might be a continuous form in which you enter the new record at
the end of the detail section or a Single form style where you go to a new
record and fill the controls; it's a stylistic decision. The (unbound)
combobox could be used to select existing vendors or if your vendor table
only has one or two fields like vendor name and number, you could do
everything with the combobox and use the NotInList event to add new records.

Each related table could be exposed through a subform. Your mainform will
have a vendor number field from it's table, selected when you select from the
combobox. This is the field you will use to link the subforms with.
