I was wondering if it would be possible to format cells semi automatic.
See attached picture for example.
I have a standard workbook to help collegues completing a bending
schedule with automatic calculation. Within the sheet shape codes are
being inserted (number between 20 - 99); each shape code needs certain
cells to be updated with a user difined value. Is it possible with a
vlookup fuction or similar to let excel format the cell color as shown
in the example. The sheet is functioning fine; the only worry is that
most cells/calculation will give a result even if a cell value is left
out (by accident). This shading would make it very easy to spot a
mistake.
PS error code would also be good.
