Format feature for Outlook - 'painting days in calendar

Pat

I am a shift worker like many others, and would like a way to easily identify
my shifts in calendar within Outlook.

I could really use the format painter or highlighter type of feature in Word
or Excel to 'paint' the days I am on shift on the calendar within Outlook. If
I could click on different days in the month view of calendar and change the
color of the days, I would easily be able to identify the days I was going to
be working.

A more sofisticated solution that could be an effective add-on would be some
tool that could generate this coloring using some rules. I work a compressed
work week - two 12 hour days followed by two 12 hour nights and then four
days off. This is but one example of a typical shift schedule and the ability
to mark up calendars would be of value to many many people.

I find the need to schedule meetings or tasks in the future but have to look
at a shift card to see if I will be at work that day.
