Format Footnote Reference Font

A coworker sent me a Word document containing lots of footnotes. The
footnote reference numbers appear in the standard font and are not
superscripted, both in the body of the document and at the bottom of the
pages. She wants me to correct the format so the footnote reference numbers
are superscripted.

I am using Word 2007. Can you explain how to make this change to the entire
document so I don't have to manually go through and superscript each
reference number?

Assuming the Footnote Reference style is still applied to the reference
marks, you can modify the style.

And if the footnote reference marks _aren't_ still formatted with
Footnote Reference style, you can make them so in Find/Replace.

Ctrl-H; in the "Find What" box, More | Special | Footnote Mark; then,
in the "Replace With" box, (More) | Format | Styles | Footnote
Reference; then click "Replace All."
