Format picture with macro?

M

Melissa

I am trying to record a macro in Word XP, and one of the steps I want to
record is formatting a picture. I am unable to select the picture while in
record mode. Is it not possible for me to record this formatting?

Hi Melissa,

As Bob said, we can use the Find function to locate the picture.

Simply use Ctrl+F and click more--> special-->graphic to locate the picture.

Hope it helps.

Ooops, I got it to select the picture, but it is still not allowing me to
format how I need to while in record mode. When I select picture on the
format menu it brings up the fomat picture dialog box, but the options for
wrapping style and horizontal alignment are unavailable. It does allow me to
choose these options while not in record mode, but I really need these steps
to be part of my macro. Any ideas?

It would appear that you may not change an "inline" graphic to a
different wrapping style using Macro.

Hi Melissa,

Based on my research, we can do it in this way:

1. In normal mode, we set the picture wrapping style to "In front of text"
or anything else than "In line with text".
2. Start recording Macro.
3. After that, you will that we can select wrapping style and horizontal
alignment.

Hope it helps. :)
