Format/Row/Autofit doesn't work on word wrap formatted cells

I'm using vlookup command to import long descriptions from a data file into a
form. Many of the cells in the form are formatted with the word wrap option.
The Autofit command in under Format/Row is not working in Excel 2002. Is
there some way I can get the height of these rows to automatically adjust???
Maybe a macro or VB routine?? Help!! checking each row to be sure all the
conten is showing is eating up hours a day!

Chuck:

One way to accomplish this is to manually resize the column to a number that
is obviously larger than your longest input (like = 100). Then, if you use
the column auto-size command, your columns should reduce to the length of the
longest data item. After this, you can automatically resize your row heights
to fit to one row each. Good luck.
