Format so first column always appears

Gianni

I have a wide worksheet and want
the first column to always appear
as I scroll to the other columns.

I would look it up but I can't figure
out where to look and under what
title.

Thanks

It's referred to as Freeze Panes. Position your cursor in B1 then
click on View | Freeze Panes | Freeze Panes (Excel 2007 or later), or
Window | Freeze Panes (Excel 2003 or earlier).

Hope this helps.

Pete,

Yes. It helps.

I had canceled the note after finding
freeze,
but you, thankfully, were able to read
it and
respond.

I see that choosing B1 and freezing, freezes
the first column. I also see that choosing
row 3 freezes the first two rows.

My question now is how do I freeze the first
two rows along with the first column ?

Thanks again.

It's really not that hard to figure out!
Unfreeze any panes;
Select the first cell you want scrollable (B3);
FreezePanes.
