Format templates described in the Book "Microsoft Word - Das Profibuch"

I have a special question for the authors of the
mentioned book.

In the book it's not definetly clear wheter it is better
just to change the word standard format templates to the
layout i need or if it's better to leave them and create
completely own chains of templates.

What are your suggestions?

Thanks,

Sebastian

far from beeing one of the authors there, but since you put the question
in here, you want others to comment, anyway :):

I'd go with the 2nd option. "Completely independent" goes as far as,
technically, some Normal.dot will have been the root of any template one
creates (somehow I seem to remember an exotic exception). But,
practically, it probably won't matter much. Beceause, you have to fiddle
around with a new template a lot, and in the end, you'll be far off from
either Normal- or any other dot you got when you installed Word.

2cents
..bob
...Word-MVP
....and curious what others will have to say
